Saftabee Bee Suits & Protective Safety Gloves in UK

These are the only reasonably costed gloves that fully protect my hands from thorns and cuts. I have ordered another larger sized pair for my son who works in grounds maintenance and is always moaning about sub standard gloves. Also my brother a keen gardener in Salisbury asked for the web site so he will probably order a pair.

I had a bee suit that had plastic zips which had eventually given up (losing teeth) which led to bees getting inside the suit - and stinging me! So I needed a new suit. This one from Safta has metal zips that cleverly overlap giving both a strong closure and an entry free positivity. The fabric is breathable and the size (large - I'm 6' tall) fits with enough bagginess to fit over my boiler suit (which I wear as additional protection as I am allergic to bee stings!) without being too big. The hood gives clear view of the bees and is comfortable. All in all, I am very pleased with this Safta bee suit, and hope it will last a good few seasons.

I bought the short bee jacket as an easy (read lazy) alternative to a full bee suit, I'm really impressed with the jacket and very happy to have bought it. Highly recommended for those in the pest control industry.

Provide good protection, whilst allowing fine motor movement for delicate handling. Size guide is accurate. The goatskin smell is strong but this doesn't appear to upset the bees.

Lovely and cool on hot days. I feel really protected wearing it. I sized up to give me more manoeuvrability comfort. A great buy

This is the most comfortable suit I have ever worn. The facility of being able to unzip the front of the hood is useful and the strip of material on top of the head means my hair does not get matted from bees sticky little feet.

This is the second suit purchased so I have a spare for family members to come and enjoy the bees. Quality item 👍🐝🐝

Bought these to replace a worn-out pair of thorn resistant gloves. These work pretty much as well as those did, at a quarter of the price

An easy process to order the jacket and given an estimated delivery date which was then confirmed and received on time. The jacket is of very good quality. I’m very pleased with it.

I took delivery of my new suit recently, have tried it on, it seems to fit but as all my bees are hibernating for the winter I have no idea if it is bee proof. I will know more come next April/May.

These gloves work very well for thorn protection. Only the occasional thorn tip manages to penetrate these gloves. I would suggest perhaps upping a size as when your hands sweat they are difficult to take on and off so you tend to pull the inner lining out of the fingers. I would not hesitate to buy again but would go for a bigger size next time.
